The following ideas would be acceptable hours for the Silver Cord Program:
* Volunteering for community organizations, local nonprofits * Reading (MAPS, Head Start,) * Volunteering for church projects * Tutoring with Duck University * Volunteer with Keep Taylor Beautiful--Beautifying community property/ City Clean-up Days (Main Street, Parks, etc.) * Volunteer with Meals on Wheels assisting elderly * Volunteer at Johns Community Hospital * Volunteering time for school sponsored activities * Volunteering at blood drives * Volunteering at Head Start * Volunteering to help coach younger children in sports (i.e. AAU teams, etc.) * Volunteering at Middle School or High School sports activities * Volunteer counselor/clean/maintenance at Down Home Ranch * Helping at the Taylor Public Library * City of Taylor working to promote and implement any town activities or celebrations * Assist the Chamber of Commerce in promoting Taylor * Volunteer at the YMCA * Other tasks approved by the ISCEWC
